Terms of Use
The short version
- Heapzero saves links you share, reads them and reminds you about them.
- Only save things you are allowed to. Posts belong to the people who made them.
- AI summaries can be wrong. Check the original for anything important.
- For YouTube links, the YouTube Terms of Service also apply to you.
- Heapzero is provided as is, and you can stop using it and delete your account at any time.
These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Anil Kumar, the individual developer who runs Heapzero ("we", "us"). By using the Heapzero app or service you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you got Heapzero from the App Store, Apple's standard license terms also apply, and Apple is not responsible for Heapzero or its support.
The service
Heapzero lets you save links to posts (for example Instagram reels and posts, and YouTube videos), reads their public text and, with your consent, uses AI to summarize and organize them, makes them searchable and sends you a few reminders. We may change, add or remove features, and set fair-use limits (such as a number of items processed per day). We will try to give notice of changes that matter to you.
Who can use Heapzero
You must be at least 18 to use Heapzero. You sign in with Apple or Google, and you are responsible for what happens on your account.
Using Heapzero fairly
You agree to:
- only save content you have the right to access and keep for your own personal use;
- not use Heapzero to collect content in bulk, republish or redistribute other people's work, or get around a platform's restrictions;
- not break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or save illegal content;
- not attack, overload, probe or reverse engineer the service, or access it other than through the app;
- not resell Heapzero or use it to build a competing service.
Content and ownership
Posts, videos and images you save belong to their creators and the platforms they come from. Heapzero does not claim them; it keeps text it reads for your personal use and always links back to the original. You keep your rights in anything you add, and you give us permission to process it only to run Heapzero for you. The Heapzero app, name, design and illustrations belong to us.
If you believe something in Heapzero infringes your rights, write to [email protected] and we will look into it promptly.
AI output
Titles, summaries, recipes, lists and reminders are generated automatically and can be incomplete or wrong. They are not professional advice (for example medical, dietary, legal or financial). Check the original before relying on them, especially for allergies, safety or health.
YouTube
Heapzero uses YouTube API Services. By using Heapzero with YouTube content, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's Privacy Policy applies to YouTube's handling of data.
Other services
Heapzero depends on platforms such as Instagram and YouTube. They can change or block access at any time, so a link that works today may not work tomorrow. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms.
Price
Heapzero is currently free. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you the price before you pay anything.
Ending your use
You can stop at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or others at risk, and we will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it. If we ever shut Heapzero down, we will give at least 30 days' notice where we can, so you can take what you need.
No warranty
Heapzero is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that saved items will never be lost, and we disclaim implied warranties such as fitness for a particular purpose. If you are in Australia, our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of data, and our total liability for any claim about Heapzero is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or 50 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded, including the Australian Consumer Law and UK consumer law.
Governing law and disputes
Please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve any problem. These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you use Heapzero as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the place where you live, and nothing in these terms takes that away. You may bring a claim in the courts where you live, including a small claims court. We may bring a claim against you only in those courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above. For a material change we will ask you to accept the new terms in the app. If you do not accept, you can delete your account.
